Prof. Dr. Ali Mahmoud Al-Saiegh Al-Shemmary, the President of Jabir ibn Hayyan Medical University has left Al-Najaf International Airport on Sunday morning 19/10/2014 on his way to the United States in a scientific visit. His agenda involves attendance of the Congress of the American College of Surgeons and a visit to the corporate office of Kaplan Medical Foundation, which sponsors the preparation for the United State Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). There, he will meet the Manager of Kaplan Medical Foundation and negotiate him about their offered proposal to prepare the students of the Faculty of Medicine at Jabir ibn Hayyan Medical University to performthe USMLE Step 1 test in late 2016.

The visit aims also to discuss ways of scientific cooperation and to hold bilateral agreements with some American universities which will be covered by the visit .
