The university president Prof.Dr. Ali Mahood AL-shimmari, , has met a site-detection committee from the ministry of higher education and scientific research for discussing the possibility of establishing the faculty of clinical pharmacy which will be the first specialized one in Iraq, in which the duration of study is six years .The student will be graduated as a clinical pharmacist and have the title (pharma D).

     The faculty will contribute in fulfilling the needs of the hospitals for pharmaceutical services and providing graduates who have a specialization in the therapeutic interpenetration and prescribing the best remedial methods .

   After the meeting, the committee had a round at the university labs and studying halls ,they expressed their admiration for the achieved  work and the organizing  of  the basic sciences labs which have been recently rehabilitated.
